Olympic Qualifier Championship at Jaipur

International Handball Federation has accorded IHF Championship Trophy to Handball Federation of India. This  IHF Championship Trophy will also determine the Olympic qualifier team for 2012. Handball history in India

First of all congratulations to Indians for wining Cricket World Cup-2011, it was fantastic teamwork...!   In the history of Handball it is presumed that Game Handball was brought to India arguably  by Shri JS Chauhan of Haryana. He conducted two all India seminar on Handball at Rohtak in Haryana before the formation of Fedration in year 1971-72. Amateur Handball Federation of India (AFHI) was formed in 1972 and got provisional affliation with International Handball Federation. The Asian Handball Federation granted it Affliation in 1976.
